THE CIRCLE OF OAKS: A Grounding Meditation
We stand in a circle of Oak Trees.
We are the circle of Oak Trees.
Giants on this landscape
Gentle shelter to all.
We were planted from Acorns
Laid in this circle by Brigid.
Seeds from her great Oaks
In County Kildare.
Our roots laying claim to this soil
Like Brigids Mantle laid claim to the land
A place that is sacred
A place where we worship in freedom
Deep into this sacred earth
Our roots have grown here for centuries
Fed by the waters
Of Brigid's sacred Well.
Deeper still is the heat of the Mother
The molten Hearth of Danu
The warmth we bring up through our roots
To warm our trunks and core.
Heat combining with blessed water
Moving up through our trunks
Up into our branches
Like Steam from Old Faithful.
Up into our broad branches
Where life displays a world
Our branches and leaves
Shelter birds bees and squirrel.
The steam of the sacred life force
Swirls like magical mist
Up through our canopy
Leaving Faery dew on our leaves.
We stand as a circle of Oak
Ancient keepers of Wisdom
Witness to new music
That we sing out into the world.
